Hollywood Software and Technicolor Announces Marketing Alliance

Hollywood Software, Inc., a leading provider of entertainment industry software applications used to manage, distribute and administer creative content, announces a new alliance with Technicolor Entertainment Services, the leader in release print distribution in the U.S.

Under the agreement, Hollywood Software and Technicolor will work together to service and support producers and distributors of theatrical film through their respective products and services. Hollywood Software’s flagship system, TDS2000, includes an automatic interface with Technicolor to seamlessly communicate print requirements and distribution information.

The two companies will also list and actively promote each other’s services through their respective Web site(s).

Tim Maurer, president, Cinema Services for Technicolor, says “We have had a long-standing relationship with Hollywood Software. Their growth and success in the marketplace speaks to the strength of their release print distribution software, TDS2000. The combination of Hollywood’s front end with Technicolor’s print distribution expertise creates a seamless transaction for the studio or independent distributor.”

“We are very pleased to formalize an alliance with Technicolor, with whom we have worked with for many years. We look forward to further developing our relationship and collaborating with them as distribution technology matures,” says David Gajda, chief executive officer, Hollywood Software.”

Marketing Alliance Expands TheatricalDistribution.com Benefits

Hollywood Software recently launched a new Internet portal site called TheatricalDistribution.com, which is being positioned to bring film distributors and exhibitors closer together through e-commerce. The site includes an ASP version of its TDS2000 product to assist smaller producers and distributors in effectively managing their film distribution process. Independent distributors that were forced to manually account for bookings, prints and collections can now use the TheatricalDistribution.com site to access over 17,500 theaters in the US and Canada to book films. Hollywood Software has experienced a tremendous amount of interest in its new service and has already signed agreements with Shooting Gallery, Providence Entertainment and Keystone Entertainment.
