Hollywood Software and WestCorp Partner to Develop International Theatrical Distribution System
Hollywood Software, Inc. today announces that it has formed a strategic partnership with World Entertainment Software Technology Corporation (WestCorp). This partnership will effectively extend the reach of Hollywood Software’s industry-leading theatrical distribution system, TDS2000, around the world.
Under the agreement, WestCorp will collaborate with Hollywood Software to identify and develop the enhancements required to expand TDS2000 into a tool that allows theatrical distributors and exhibitors to plan, book and manage the worldwide release of feature films through one unified, state-of-the-art system.
TDS2000 is already the industry standard for film distribution in the United States and Canada, currently administering over 50% of the domestic box office. WestCorp has specialized in the development and support of global entertainment software systems used by major studios since 1989.
Partners Will Explore Complimentary Business Opportunities
The two partners will identify and explore complimentary business opportunities that can leverage their combined development and business resources in adding products and services to Hollywood Software’s marketplace offerings.
